L-Carnitine, an amino acid synthesized in the liver, kidneys, and brain from two essential amino acids, lysine and methionine. L-Carnitine is responsible for transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria, (cellular organelles responsible for energy production), generating increased fat oxidation and preserving muscle glycogen.
At the level of athletes, the more L-Carnitine in the muscles, the more fatty acids can be used; which generates a very important glycogen saving, mainly in moments of intense activity, generating an energy contribution, as well as greater resistance, reducing muscle pain and fatigue.
High doses of L-Carnitine produces a greater utilization of fats, mobilizing body fat from fatty tissue to the tissue that needs it as an energy source against sugars; reducing muscle fatigue and recovery time after exercise.
It facilitates the use of glucose and lowers lactic acid, which allows better performance, in exercises of short duration and greater intensity.
It allows to reduce pain: Mitigate muscle damage and metabolic stress caused by high-intensity exercises; providing a greater capacity to resist races longer, lift more weight or do more repetitions.
Accelerates recovery: In an intense exercise session, it helps less production of lactic acid in the muscles, which causes greater pain and tissue fatigue. By producing less lactic acid, its removal is achieved much more quickly and effectively, therefore, recovery is also achieved in less time.
