Product Description

Origin: Sonoma Coast, California – USA.

Variety(ies): Pinot Noir 100%.

Aging: French Oak (20% new), 14 months.

Nose: Complex, with layers of red and black fruits, wild mushrooms, and exotic spices.

Palate: Exquisite attack. The fruit envelops the palate, with a slight salinity and a touch of rosemary. It advances showing its friendly texture, lively acidity, moderate intensity, and silkiness. Pleasant finish.

Pairing: Mushroom dishes, salmon, turkey, rabbit, pork, tenderloin, and semi-cured cheeses.

Producer’s Comments: This is an example of remote farming at its finest, extreme viticulture. The Holtermann vineyard is located just north of the town of Annapolis, CA, and eight kilometers from the cold Pacific Ocean. It sits on a mountain ridge surrounded by dense, wild redwood and pine forests. Proximity to the coast offers moderate temperature fluctuations that lead to a very balanced ripening of the fruit. “The soul of a familyโ€ฆ the cold of a geography.”
