This was one of the “wine-friendly” shaped glasses designed by Claus J. Riedel, of the 9th generation. The generous size of this glass allows the bouquet to fully develop and smooths out the rough edges. It emphasizes the fruit, minimizes the bitter qualities of the tannin, and allows the wines to reach balance. Meaning “super light” in Italian, RIEDEL Superleggero debuted in 2015 as a brilliant testament to the talented team of glassmakers from the leader in glassware. This series features the bowl shapes of the original Sommeliers series, but with an even more streamlined aesthetic and a feather-light design.
