Product Description

It is an Author’s wine. The age of the vines exceeds 80 years. Yield per hectare is only 1,000 kg/ha, compared to the 7,500 kg/ha allowed in the D.O. Ribera del Duero, thus obtaining superior quality grapes. Production is limited and exclusive, with only 2,000 numbered bottles. This wine reflects a long aging style. Its 12 years of aging (hence its name), spent several meters deep, has allowed it to round out and assemble perfectly. A magnificent wine to enjoy in those magical and special moments.

100% Tinta Fina / Tinto Fino (Tempranillo).

Aging

4 years in European and American oak barrels from 6 different origins (Allier, Vosges, Nevers, Missouri, Appalachians, or Kentucky). More than 8 years in the bottle (stowage).

Nose

Frank and very complex. It offers a wide aromatic range, including ripe black and red fruits, faint minty hints, leather, and tobacco, complemented by soft cedar perfumes.

Palate

A warm and silky entry. Jammy fruit opens up, in harmony with just the right acidity, very polished tannins, great richness, intensity, and finesse. It has a memorable and pleasant finish.

Pairing

The best red meats, lamb, game, roasts, and cured cheeses will be some of its best companions. A great wine that can also be enjoyed on its own.
