Product Description

Origin: Barbaresco (Treiso, Piedmont) – Italy

Varieties: 100% Nebbiolo

Aging: French Oak, 24 months

Nose: Expressive. Combines fruits, dried flowers, and spices with a subtle mineral background.

Mouth: Tasty entry. Interesting balance in its flavors, intertwining ripe fruits and spices. Balanced, fine tannins, remarkable velvety texture, very well structured, intense and long in its finish.

Pairing: Ravioli del Plin, risotto, game, stews, red meats, and cured cheeses.

Randall Calderón Chacón: In the pairing, also consider regional pairings (with Piedmontese cuisine) as a great option. Barbaresco is defined as the son or younger brother of Barolo. It will be enjoyed much more a few years (5 to 10) after the harvest. These are aging wines that in the best vintages can evolve positively over the next 15 to 20 years. It is a fine wine, very exquisite and of great depth. Limited production of a boutique wine; 25,000 bottles. The Ceretto family has been making multiple efforts for years in search of natural balance with the environment. The fruits are starting to be harvested, and as of the 2014 harvest, this wine is certified as “Organic” = Biological.
