Description

Sommelier’s Comments or Relevant Aspects: The Sanz family founded and began their winemaking work in 1870, in the municipality of La Seca, in the Rueda Denomination of Origin. At the end of the 19th century, their wines were already becoming known throughout Castile. In 1976, the fifth generation of the Sanz family broke away from the family trajectory and started their own project, with the construction of a new winery in the town of Rueda. With the construction of the Palacio de Bornos winery, within the Rueda Denomination and with an estate of 220 hectares of its own vineyard, with a clay-calcareous composition and a soil with a high concentration of pebbles, they managed to fulfill the dream of producing fresh and frank wines reflecting this land. Verdejo is considered native to Rueda, implanted there by the Mozarabs around the 11th century.

Its name Vaya Pasada changes to ยกVaya Pasada! A Spanish expression meaning “How exceptional!” or “What a way!” to describe something that stands out for how exceptional it is.
