Product Description

Aging: French Oak (25% new), 14 months.

Nose: Aromas of rose petals, violets and mint jump out of the glass.

Palate: Proposes a lucid finesse in its first impression. With flavors that we will associate with raspberry, cherry and a subtle pepper. Of great fruit purity, wide mid-palate and acidity in perfect harmony with very seductive tannins. Pleasant, round and refined. Persistent finish.

Pairing: Mushroom risotto, quail, rabbit, turkey, steak and semi-cured cheeses.

Producer’s Comments: The Doña Margarita vineyard is nestled between two small towns on the Sonoma coast, Freestone and Occidental. A steep climb through a dirt road leads to this impressive property that sits just above the fog and is surrounded by dense and wild forests of redwoods and pines. Just ten kilometers from the cold Pacific Ocean, it is a cool, windy place with dense fog, which allows us to harvest fruit of very high character.
