Sommelier Randall Calderón Chacón’s comments: Agricola Punica is one of the most famous names in Italian wine production. This is a very novel and distinct blend of grapes. Coming from an area of Sardinia “Sulcis Meridionale” with a warm climate very beneficial for the varieties used here. A differentiated proposal for wine lovers.

Sardegna (IGT Isola dei Nuraghi) – Italy.

Carignano 60%, Syrah 10%, Cabernet Sauvignon 10%, Cabernet Franc 10% and Merlot 10%.

Aging

French Oak, 15 months.

Nose

Aromatic. Recalls black cherries, currants, black olives, dried thyme, on a smoky background.

Palate

Warmth from its entry. Tasty flavors of fresh and ripe fruits with spicy touches. Friendly tannins, correct acidity that brings freshness and balance. Elegant, round and moderately intense, with a pleasant finish.

Pairing

Oily fish, pastas in intense flavored sauces, white meats such as pork, chicken, veal or rabbit, red meats, ideal with BBQ and semi-cured cheeses.
