700ml Nikka Single Grain Whisky (Alpiste)

Using the two Coffey stills at the Miyagikyo distillery, which were imported from Scotland to Japan in 1963, Nikka has produced a number of single cask single grain whiskies from time to time over the years. This, however, is their larger release of wonderfully exotic single-grain whisky. Predominantly made from corn, whisky distilled in a Coffey still is matured in old casks such as re-filled, remade, and re-charred casks originally made from American oak to deliver the sweet and mellow flavors of Coffey distillates.
