Abri Soft Excellent Bed Protector

The Abri-Soft Excellent Bed Protector (60×90 cm) is a high-absorbency disposable underpad designed for heavy-duty incontinence care and medical use. Manufactured by Abena, it’s a premium option in their product line, offering an impressive absorbency of up to 2,900 ml. Each unit measures 60 cm by 90 cm and is sold in packs of 20, with four packs per case (100 pads total).

This bed protector is made with a virgin fluff core, a soft non-woven topsheet, and a waterproof polyethylene backing. The sealed edges prevent leakage, making it ideal for situations that require reliable moisture control. Unlike some other variants in the Abri-Soft line, the Excellent version does not contain SAP (superabsorbent polymers), which makes it bulkier but still very absorbent.

The product is designed for single use, offering a hygienic option that reduces the risk of cross-contamination. It’s dermatologically tested, breathable, and includes odour control features to enhance user comfort. These properties make it well-suited not just for beds, but also for use on wheelchairs, chairs, and medical trolleys.

When compared to other Abri-Soft options, the Excellent stands out for its very high absorbency. The Classic version absorbs up to 2,100 ml, while the Superdry version includes SAP for fast absorption of around 1,500 ml. The Excellent, while SAP-free, outperforms both in capacity due to its dense fluff core. It’s particularly effective for overnight protection, medical procedures, or cases of severe incontinence.
