Crafted in the world-famous Controlled Designation of Origin; Côte Rôtie, created in 1940 and where the noble Syrah variety stands out. Traditionally, it is usually complemented with a small percentage of the signature white variety of this area, Viognier, which provides freshness and smoothness. Côte-Rôtie translates as “The Roasted Slope,” referring to the long hours of sunlight these steep slopes receive. The result is an intense, well-balanced, elegant wine with an exquisite texture, very rich, deep, and complex with age.

Pairings and Service

Optional Pairings: White and red meats, lamb, game, and cow, sheep, or mixed semi-cured to cured cheeses.

Service Tips: Serve in a Riedel Veritas Old World Syrah or Extreme Shiraz glass. Decant (aerate) for 1 hour, then return to the bottle and refresh in the refrigerator for one hour. Best enjoyed at 16°C.
