Made only in vintages rated as “Excellent”, such as 2001, 2004, and 2005, according to the Regulatory Council of the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin. The exceptional 2001 and 2005 harvests motivated the winery to declare it a “Special Selection”, using only the best barrels in its production. To guarantee its memorable quality, the best 80-year-old vineyards were selected, combined with its slow and patient aging in oak for six years, and subsequently, it continued its rest in the bottle for another six years, thus achieving its outstanding finesse. A memorable, indulgent, and seductive wine. Outstanding lineage. Limited production of 57,036 numbered bottles.

Origin: DOCa Rioja – Spain

Variety: Tempranillo 95%, Graciano 3% and Mazuelo 2%.

Aging: American oak 6 years and stowed for another 6 years.

Nose: Very aromatic. It offers a wide bouquet in which notes of cured leather, plum and raisin jams, tobacco and sweet spices, vanilla, and dark chocolate stand out.

Palate: Sensual on its entry. Its structure stands out as well as its balanced acidity and silky tannins. Ample, complex, round, and elegant finish.

Pairing: Pork, lamb, red meats, and mature cheeses. You will enjoy its virtues to the maximum if you decide to enjoy it by itself, as an after-dinner drink.
