The Aiurri wine is the mid-range red from the Aiurri winery (which means “carácter” in Basque), the new and long-awaited project in the DOCa Rioja of the Alma Carraovejas group, based in Ribera del Duero. This village wine is made exclusively with grapes from the town of Leza, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa.

Varieties: Tempranillo with contributions of graciano, garnacha and white varieties.

Aging: Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.

Nose: This blend of Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha and other white varieties combines power and refinement, with delicately spiced ripe black fruit, an elegant mineral background and an aromatic richness that increases as it breathes.

Color: Aiurri red wine is purple with violet reflections. This red wine from La Rioja forms elegant tears.

Palate: Aromas of raspberry, strawberries and subtle spices. It is complex and balanced, with soft tanins and preserved freshness. Final long and satisfying finish.
