NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION
| Featured in the annual Bob's Red Mill Spar for the Spurtle oatmeal recipe contest!
Our steel cut oats are the perfect addition to your gluten free diet! Our gluten free oats undergo R5 ELISA testing. These oats are then processed and packaged in our 100% dedicated gluten free facility and tested again to ensure they meet our strict standards.
Oats are a delicious, nutritious breakfast. While the cooking time for steel cut oats is longer than many rolled oats, you can easily make steel cut oatmeal in a slow cooker. They’re also ideal for overnight oats!
Although a tiny fraction of the population cannot tolerate even the purest gluten free oats, most will find oats to be a deliciously welcomed addition to their diets. If you're unsure, please consult first with your doctor.

Bob’s Red Mill Almond Flour is one of our most popular gluten free, low carb flours, and we pride ourselves on the excellent performance and flavor of this high quality product. Whole blanched almonds are ground into a fine meal that lends a nutty flavor and moist texture to baked goods. Baking with almond flour is simple: explore our recipe tab for dozens of delicious flour recipes, from almond flour pancakes to cookies, coffee cake, quick breads, muffins and more. As a general rule of thumb, you can also replace 25% of the all-purpose flour in your baking recipes with almond flour to add a wonderful texture and flavor while reducing the total carbohydrates.
Not only is almond flour a traditional choice for delicacies like French macarons and financiers, but this nutty meal can be used in savory applications, as well. Use it as a low carb flour alternative in place of bread crumbs in meatballs, or as a coating for chicken and fish. To keep it at peak freshness, almond flour and meal is best stored in the refrigerator or freezer.
Almonds are known for being nutritious and satisfying, providing vitamin E, protein, fiber and monounsaturated fats. Not only do almonds offer protein, healthy fats and fiber, they are also very low in carbohydrates and inherently gluten free. This makes them a great choice for those following paleo or low-carb diets. Plus, there are so many delicious ways to eat them! You can snack on them by the handful, or throw them into your food processor and press a button: voila, you’ll have ground almonds—and then fresh almond butter, if you keep going!
Almond flour is also a popular selection for gluten free and paleo flour blends: it pairs especially well with other alternative baking flours like coconut and tapioca starch. Interested in an almond flour made with unblanched almonds? Make sure to browse our Super-Fine Natural Almond Flour, which is an unblanched almond flour that includes the skins to add a little extra color to your recipes!
At Bob’s Red Mill, it is our privilege to provide you with wholesome food you can feel good about serving to your family—especially if they follow a gluten free diet due to health concerns. This product is processed, packaged and tested in our dedicated gluten free facility, making it an ideal choice for those with celiac disease, a sensitivity to gluten, or those who prefer to stay gluten free. It also undergoes R5 ELISA testing multiple times to ensure it meets our strict protocols.

Teff Flour is a pleasingly light, uniquely flavored, 100% whole grain flour. Ethiopian households have been using teff flour in their baking for ages. A favorite teff dish eaten at almost every Ethiopian meal is a flat, crepe-like bread called Injera.
Whole Grain Teff, an ancient East African cereal grass, is a nutritional powerhouse. It is the smallest grain in the world—about 100 grains of teff are the size of a single kernel of wheat! Compared to other grains, it has a much larger percentage of bran and germ so it's a very good source of dietary fiber, protein, iron, amino acids, vitamin C and calcium. Another teff flour benefit is the calcium content that significantly surpasses that of all other grains.
Due to the small size of the grain, it is almost impossible to grind teff flour in your home mill. We are glad to do the work for you! Now you, too, can enjoy the light, nutty flavor and bountiful nutrition of teff flour in your home. Substitute Teff Flour for about a fourth of the all-purpose flour called for in your favorite baked goods recipe to add an appealing taste and added nutrition. Naturally gluten free, teff is a wonderful way to add something a bit exotic to your diet.

| Tapioca flour comes from cassava (manihot esculenta), a plant common to South America. It’s a paleo diet favorite as well as one of the main ingredients for pao de queijo, or Brazilian cheese bread. Use with other alternative flours like coconut flour, cassava flour, potato starch and arrowroot starch with xanthan gum for best results.
Looking for tapioca pudding? Use our tapioca pearls for quick-cooking tapioca and more.
